Welcome to the Walpole Contra Dance
The Walpole contra dance takes place on the Third Saturday of every month at the lovely Town Hall in the center of Walpole, NH. The dance features some of the region's top dance musicians and callers, with exciting live music and excellent teaching and calling each month. The Walpole dance is a lively community of people who love to dance; we welcome beginners and experienced dancers, and folks of all ages. You don't need to come with a partner, just show up ready to have a great time.
Timing
The dance begins at 8:00 PM and continues until 11:30 PM. There is a beginners' session at 7:30 PM where you can learn basic figures and be introduced to contra dancing. No prior experience is necessary; throughout the evening all of the dances will be taught.
Admission
Admission is $8, or $6 for students, seniors and first time dancers. We welcome volunteers to help with setup, cleanup and other tasks in exchange for free admission. Email for more information.
